Stephen Curry shoots 3s for breakfast, so to no one’s surprise whatsoever, he set a new 3-point record for the league last night.

The Golden State Warriors handily beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 147-109, and the star of the show was none other than Stephen Curry.

Two days after surpassing Wilt Chamberlain to become the Warriors franchise all-time leading scorer, Curry went off against Oklahoma for 42 points, 11 of which were 3-pointers.

This brings us to the new record: after Wednesday night, Curry has dropped 29 3-pointers in the last three games, the most over a three-game span in NBA history.

Wednesday’s performance was also Curry’s 19th career game with 10 or more 3-pointers. Curry’s ridiculously ahead of everybody else in that regard since no other player has more than five games.

I’ll repeat that: no other player has more than five games with 10 or more 3-pointers. Warriors teammate Klay Thompson comes in second place at five, and James Harden and Damian Lillard are tied at three.

Golden State ran away with the game in the third quarter, which led to Curry being subbed out even if he was raining buckets all night. At one point, Curry tried to re-enter the game, but he was playfully restrained by coach Steve Kerr.

Talk about being too hot to handle.

Steph Curry breaks another league record for 3-point shooting

Currently, Curry is in one of the best stretches of his career, and his new record proves what we already know about the baby-faced assassin: Curry is a different kind of 3-point shooter.

Steph Curry is the kind who makes you raise three fingers in the air before he even follows through with the shot.

Steph Curry is the kind who launches one from the parking lot and as you watch that beautiful arc you want to cry a little.

Steph Curry is the kind who will catch and shoot, shoot on the dribble, shoot after the fake, shoot a no-look, shoot spinning around and off-balance, but no matter how he shoots from beyond the arc, you can’t tear your eyes away.

Curry raises his arms triumphantly to the heavens.
