The estate of Kobe Bryant has reportedly decided to end his deal with Nike for the time being.
Kobe Bryant was a star the moment he was drafted back in 1996. The teenager signed a lucrative deal with Adidas before switching to Nike later in his career.
The deal with Nike continued after his death and players around the NBA were often seen in Bryant’s signature shoes. The relationship between his estate and Nike has reportedly come to an end, according to Complex.

Nike deal with Kobe Bryant coming to an end
The report explains how the deal already expired earlier this month. Nike is also still reportedly set to release more Kobe shoes later this year. Of course, this is a situation that involves his family and the estate he left behind. So there is plenty more to this situation than just shoes.
This will end a relationship that lasted nearly two decades. Bryant remained with Nike following his retirement and it looked to be a relationship that would stand the test of time.
Bryant’s estate can now seek out other deals, if they so choose. That is something that could happen soon, or maybe it will take years. There is also the possibility they just want some peace and don’t want to worry about any apparel deals.
The legend’s legacy continues to live on and the end of this Nike deal won’t change that fact. However, sneaker collectors will keep a close eye on any Bryant-related news moving forward.
