Watch New York Knicks fans party in the streets outside Madison Square Garden after beating the Hawks to move up to the No. 4 seed.
It’s a great time to be a fan of the New York Knicks.
That sentence hasn’t been written in a long time because it’s been a long time to not be a fan of the New York Knicks. This year is different, however, with the Knicks not only chasing a playoff spot but trying to secure home-court advantage in the first round.
The Knicks extended their winning streak to eight games with a 137-127 win over Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night to move a half-game in front of them for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.
That eight-game winning streak is the longest in the NBA so the Knicks are literally the hottest team in the Association. Enjoy it, Knicks fans!
And they most definitely are enjoying it if the post-game party was any indication.

It’s like they just beat the Los Angeles Lakers to win the NBA Finals or something. It’s okay, I’m not judging, because Knicks fans haven’t had a whole lot to cheer for this century, so they are certainly entitled to partying in this manner.
With the way All-NBA candidate Julius Randle is playing this season and the way Tom Thibodeau’s defense continues to stifle opponents from scoring, there will be plenty more to celebrate later this spring for Knicks fans.
