This is proof that Westbrook always shows out against the Pacers. This is now the 10th time Westbrook has posted a triple-double against them, the most against any of his opponents throughout his career. In fact, Westbrook officially averaged a triple-double for the fourth time of his career after recording 14 points, 21 rebounds and 24 assists against the Pacers this past Monday.

After the contest against the Pacers, Robertson himself told the New York Times that he hopes that Westbrook breaks his record, calling him “one of the elite guards in basketball.”

Entering Saturday’s game, Westbrook was averaging 21.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 11.4 assists while shooting 44.1 percent from the field through 60 contests. He finished the night with 33 points, 19 rebounds, 15 assists and the game-saving block, while Bradley Beal chipped in 50 points:

Westbrook has plenty of time to break the record this season, as the Wizards have four more regular-season games remaining. Westbrook faces off against the Atlanta Hawks (twice), Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets before the start of the play-in round.

So here is fair warning to you all: If you want to witness Westbrook make NBA history, be sure to watch the Wizards for the next week. It is mandatory viewing.
