What makes this even more special is that Sunday was also Siakam’s mom’s birthday!
Back in the 2019 offseason, the Raptors rewarded Siakam for contributing to them winning their first NBA championship in history by signing him to a four-year, $136 million contract extension. Siakam’s deal kicked in at the start of this season.
This season, Siakam is averaging 21.4 points (team-high), 7.2 rebounds (team-high) and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field through 56 games this season. Despite that, the Raptors are 4.5 games behind the Indiana Pacers for the final play-in spot with four games remaining in the season.
