Remember when the Miami Heat forced overtime in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks with a clutch shot by Jimmy Butler? Those were some good times, because Game 2 started off in nightmarish fashion for the Heat.
At the conclusion of the first quarter on Monday night, the Heat found themselves trailing the Bucks by the insane score of 46-20. Upon checking their vision to see if they were hallucinating, NBA Twitter users chimed in to share their thoughts on Milwaukee’s beatdown of Miami.
NBA Twitter reacts to Bucks beatdown over Heat in Game 2 Monday
To say the Bucks’ first-quarter production was historic is not an overstatement. They literally made history.
Milwaukee managed to hit 10 3-point shots in the first 12 minutes of playing time, tied for the NBA Playoff record for most 3-pointers made in a quarter. Bryn Forbes was responsible for four of those successful shots from behind the arc on only five attempts.
There is still some time for the Heat to bounce back from this deficit, but it is going to be a massive challenge now that they trail 78-51 at the break. More than likely, the Bucks put Game 2 away with their 3-point barrage in the opening quarter.
