Here’s the cold-blooded answer Trae Young gave for shimmying before his 3

Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Playoffs

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young explained why he shimmied before hitting a 3-pointer against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Atlanta Hawks are now three wins away from reaching the NBA Finals after they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 116-113 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday. This game will forever be known as “The Trae Young Show,” as the guard dropped 48 points on the Bucks for the victory. But everyone remembers one shot that resulted in three of those 48 points.

In the second half, Young had plenty of time standing behind the 3-point line and decided to shimmy before letting go of his shot, which hit nothing but net. Following the win, Young was asked why he did the cold-blooded shimmy before hitting the 3-pointer. The star responded by saying he “had a lot of time.”

Hawks: Trae Young had too much time in Game 1 vs. Bucks, so he shimmied

While Young did say he had a lot of time, he also brought up the point that he was a bit tired and decided to catch his breath before hitting his shot from behind the arc. But his shimmy caught the attention of many on Twitter, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

Young played like a seasoned veteran in his Eastern Conference Finals debut at the age of 22. The guard scored tallied his ridiculous 48-point total while shooting 17-for-34 from the field. That is the most points a Hawks player has scored in a playoff game since Dominique Wilkins dropped 50 points back in 1986, per NBA.com.

The Hawks look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Bucks with a win on Thursday night. But one has to wonder if there will be a retaliatory celebration by a Bucks players before or after they hit a wide open 3-pointer in Game 2.
