Giannis admits free-throw chants from Suns’ fans are in his head

Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Playoffs, Phoenix Suns

Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t hold back and admitted that the Phoenix Suns fans got in his head with how loud they were.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was one to remember, with the Phoenix Suns taking down the Milwaukee Bucks 118-105. The fans inside the arena in Phoenix were rockin’ from start to finish, really making their presence felt.

Just ask Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo about that. Whenever he was at the free-throw line, the Suns supporters really let him have it. So much in fact, Antetokounmpo admitted that it got into his head when he was trying to bury shots.

While it was nice to see Antetokounmpo be so open about things, this is only going to fire up everyone in Phoenix to be even louder once Game 2 rolls around. That contest is all set for Thursday night, with the Suns looking to take a 2-0 series lead.

Antetokounmpo was able to battle back from his hyperextended knee to suit up for Game 1. It truly was remarkable, as first he was listed as doubtful, but then he was able to fight through the pain to get himself ready for the action.

He ended up playing 35 minutes, scoring 20 points and adding 17 rebounds. The superstar also went 7-of-12 from the charity stripe. On those misses, you better believe that the Suns’ fans played a role there, as they went above and beyond to troll him for how long he takes to shoot.

Antetokounmpo already knows he can expect more of the same when the two teams face off next. Phoenix will hope to win Game 2, while everyone packing the stadium will be ready to get in Antetokounmpo’s head again.
