76ers beat writer reveals possible Ben Simmons trade package and value

Amidst the ongoing Ben Simmons/Philadelphia 76ers offseason saga, a beat writer for the team revealed what Philadelphia could get in a Simmons trade.

This week kicks off training camp for the Philadelphia 76ers and with a little over three weeks until the team’s start of the NBA regular season, Ben Simmons is still maintaining the stance that he won’t be rejoining the team.

Simmons won’t be at training camp and has made it clear that he won’t play in another game for the 76ers, so what would a trade package for him look like?

A look inside a possible Ben Simmons trade package for Philadelphia 76ers

Will Ben Simmons play at Wells Fargo Center for Philadelphia again? Will he be fined for continuing to hold out? Will the 76ers find a trade destination that benefits both sides?

There’s so many questions, but no definitive answers.

Derek Bodner, Philadelphia’s beat reporter for The Athletic, speculates what a potential Simmons trade package may look like.

The 76ers tried to trade Ben over the summer, but they weren’t able to do so. Doc Rivers went on ESPN to say that he wanted Simmons back, but with the start of the season right around the corner, that’s extremely unlikely.

Will the Minnesota Timberwolves be the ones to land Ben?

Would Philadelphia be in favor of this trade? Or one similar to it?

No team wants to have to worry about a disgruntled star, especially at the start of the season, but will the 76ers opt to instead fine Simmons for not showing up instead of trading him?

Ben may get to call Minnesota his new home. All he cares about is getting out of Philadelphia at this point.
