With the Minnesota Timberwolves mixing things up with the front office on Wednesday, Karl-Anthony Towns can’t believe what’s going on.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have stunned so many folks in the basketball world, as they stole the show news wise on Wednesday. In case you missed it, the organization decided to fire President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Gersson Rosas. What?
People were losing their minds all over social media. The same could be said for star big man Karl-Anthony Towns. The former first-round pick let everyone know on Twitter just how taken aback he was by the team’s latest decision.
Karl-Anthony Towns clearly didn’t see Gersson Rosas’ firing coming
What the (expletive) indeed, Mr. Towns. For Minnesota, the timing of this decision really seems odd. Training camps across the country are set to get underway in less than a week. Yet, Minnesota decided now was the best time to fire its general manager?
Last season, the Timberwolves had another year to forget, as the squad finished with a horrible 23-49 record. Fans are starting to lose patience, as things really feel like they’ve only been getting worse in recent seasons. Towns is in the prime of his career, and you know he’s got to hate the current situation with the Timberwolves.
Now, the team must try and find a suitable replacement for Rosas. Again, had this come earlier in the offseason, it would have made a little more sense. But, the regular season is right around the corner.
While Rosas was of course responsible for the team’s moves and making sure they fielded a competitive squad, you simply could not have let him go this late in the offseason. It’s a head-scratching move by Minnesota, and Towns simply can’t understand things right now.
