Stephen Curry made four consecutive half court shots prior to the Golden State Warriors’ season-opening game against the Los Angele Lakers.
The Golden State Warriors are entering a new season, where they look to make it back into the NBA Playoffs for the first time since their Finals trip back in 2019. You can never count out the Warriors, especially with star Stephen Curry making unreal shots.
Prior to the team’s season-opening game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Curry decided to take some shots from the half court logo. Unsurprisingly, he made four straight with relative ease!
Stephen Curry ready to get Warriors back into playoffs
Yeah, Curry looks to be in mid-season form already!
The Warriors were in playoff contention for the majority of last season, despite the absence of Klay Thompson and the season-ending injury to James Wiseman. Curry helped lead Golden State to the play-in round while playing at an MVP-caliber level. Yet, the Warriors lost their meeting against the Lakers and a win-or-go-home game versus the Memphis Grizzlies.
Through 63 games in the 2020-21 campaign, Curry averaged 32.0 points (league-high), 5.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from the 3-point line.
The Lakers stand in the way as Curry’s first opponents of the 2021-22 season. After winning the NBA title in the bubble, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round by the eventual Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns. That caused the Lakers to overhaul their roster, where they brought in big names such as Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony to team up alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
