Klay Thompson thought he was snubbed from the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and the Warriors decided to troll him about his omission from the list.
The NBA finished its announcement of the 76 players included on the league’s 75th Anniversary Team this past week. Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson was not included on the list.
That was something the sharpshooter, who is nearing his return from over two years off the court due to injury, didn’t agree with. He took to Instagram to say that he felt like he belonged on the list and not as a notable omission.
Regardless of which side of the argument you or Thompson’s Warriors teammates fall on, the rest of the Golden State roster saw the perfect opportunity to troll him in an absolutely perfect way.
Watch the Warriors masterfully Klay Thompson over NBA 75 snub
While we can only assume that Draymond Green was involved, he’s the one giving us a look at this glorious troll job, putting No. 77 on Thompson’s jersey in his locker.
To spell out the reference, his Warriors teammates are poking fun at the perceived snub by saying that he was No. 77 on the list, just missing out on the announced 76 players who made the cut.
If nothing else, we know the Warriors are always going to bring the entertainment factor to the NBA landscape — whether that’s with Steph Curry doing the seemingly impossible or just a group of obviously close teammates clowning on one another.
