Look: Warriors fans flood Pacers home arena for Steph Curry record watch

Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers

Every NBA fan wants to see history live but Warriors fans have full-on started to take over the Pacers arena trying to see Steph Curry break the record.

For the past couple of Golden State Warriors games, fans have been at fever pitch and for good reason as they and the rest of the NBA are waiting and watching for Steph Curry to break Ray Allen’s record for career 3-pointers made.

Entering Monday night’s road contest against the Indiana Pacers, Curry sits just six made 3’s away from Allen’s record, meaning he would need seven to break the record. And while many have assumed that Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden would be the best venue for that moment, Golden State fans aren’t taking that chance.

Well before tip-off at 7 p.m. ET, Warriors fans began to fill Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to watch Curry warm up as he takes another crack at making NBA history.

Obviously, we don’t have a look at the full crowd from that video. However, if it’s any indication, the Warriors fans are ready to take over and (in their hopes) propel Steph Curry to the performance needed to surpass Allen.

It would feel safe to say, however, that Curry has been feeling the pressure of trying to break the record as of late. In his past two games against the Trail Blazers and 76ers, the superstar guard has gone just 9-of-31 from 3-point range, well below his season average of 40.4 percent from long range.

With plenty of Golden State fans in attendance (and early to the arena) in Indianapolis, though, you can bet that the basketball world will have their eyes glued to TVs to see if this is the night Curry finally gets the record.
