Things have gone from bad to worse for the Brooklyn Nets in their series against the Boston Celtics.

The Brooklyn Nets are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs, as Saturday’s 109-103 loss to the Boston Celtics has them down 3-0 in the series. Just what in the heck has gone wrong for this team?

The excuses continue to come in, but Steve Nash’s quote from Saturday night has people furious. Nash said that Kyrie Irving has got to be tired because he’s been fasting, while Kevin Durant has been consistently playing well over 40 minutes. Seriously?

Brooklyn Nets fans are furious with Steve Nash and the team as a whole

This is about as bad as it can get from Nash. He can come up with anything he wants to try and save his players, but the fact of the matter is that the Boston Celtics have simply outplayed Brooklyn throughout. On top of that, Nash has been outcoached.

Because of this, Boston is up 3-0 and they’ve got one foot in the door for the Eastern Conference Finals. All the momentum is with the Celtics and it’s going to take a miracle for Brooklyn to turn things around.

Even Irving refuses to compare this series with his 3-1 comeback against the Warriors in the NBA Finals. With Brooklyn as a whole being down in the dumps, Nash’s take on things isn’t making anything better.

Game 4 is all set to be played on Monday night in New York, with Boston hoping to end things with a bang. The Celtics should have no issues getting that job done from the looks of things. If they do, Nash better come up with a better explanation than what he had after Game 3.
