LeBron James cites Tom Brady’s contract as reason he would pursue media career
Besides citing Brady’s big contract, James cites his knowledge of the sport and wanting to stay around the game during retirement as reasons he would consider making the jump to the media world.
Months after Brady made his return to the NFL, the huge news dropped that he would be signing a 10-year, $375 million contract to be the top analyst on FOX once he officially decides to hang up his cleats for real this time. The move comes during the shakeup in NFL broadcast, after Troy Aikman and Joe Buck left FOX for ESPN.
James is entering the final year of his contract with the Lakers, where he will turn 38. LeBron has said regarding retirement that he wants to play on the same team as his oldest son Bronny before he officially calls it a career.
Will LeBron be the latest athlete to make the jump as a media broadcaster. We are probably multiple years away from finding that out.
