There are just four games in the NBA on Thursday, and that may be a good thing after suffering some brutal beats in NBA Best Bets Today article on Wednesday.

Shout out to you, Terry Rozier…

Today, we bounce back, and I have two NBA plays with one coming a little further off the board than you’d expect.

We’re looking at a player prop in the Milwaukee Bucks-Memphis Grizzlies game, although this one is on a guard that may be a bit of a surprise (sorry, Ja Morant fans).

If you’re looking for a more traditional pick, don’t worry because we’re fading one of the worst road teams in the NBA tonight. If you can guess it already, hats off.

If not, you should keep reading. Here are tonight’s NBA best bets!

NBA Best Bets Record-to-Date

NBA Best Bets Today

  • Jevon Carter OVER 3.5 Assists (-115)
  • Los Angeles Clippers Moneyline (-120) vs. Phoenix Suns

Jevon Carter OVER 3.5 Assists

Jevon Carter may not be a player you expect to bet on, but with Jrue Holiday out for the Bucks in this game, Carter is going to get the start.

He’s thrived in this spot this season, averaging 6.8 assists per game when Holiday doesn’t play, clearing 3.5 dimes in five of those six matchups.

I don’t mind the OVER on Carter’s points either, but he took just three shots in his last game in place of Holiday, so assists is the safer route.

On the season, Carter is averaging 3.4 assists per game, and he’s quickly become one of the best guard options for Milwaukee. Not only that, but the Grizzlies allow a ton of assists this season, ranking 28th in the league in opponent assists per game (26.4).

You may not find a better value than this tonight.

Los Angeles Clippers Moneyline vs. Phoenix Suns

This line is way too short for me with the Phoenix Suns entering this game on a five-game losing streak.

Could it be a trap? Possibly, but I’m not going to ignore all the numbers that favor the Los Angeles Clippers in this game.

The Suns have the worst net rating in the NBA over their last five games, struggling mightily against top-tier teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics and losing to the Houston Rockets in their last game.

Phoenix is just 4-9 straight up on the road this season, and it could be without Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton (both questionable) in this game.

Los Angeles is starting to regain its form with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George healthy, covering in four straight games and winning three straight.

The Suns are reeling right now, and I’m not going to trust them on the road against a healthy Clips team.
