Best NBA prop bets today for Nets vs. Suns (Brooklyn dominates early)

The Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns are both struggling without their stars right now, as Phoenix is just 3-13 without Devin Booker this season and the Nets are 0-4 without Kevin Durant.

Brooklyn’s offense has been brutal the last three games, scoring just 298 combined points in losses to the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics.

That gives some value to a few prop bets tonight against a Suns team that is hoping Chris Paul can return to the lineup.

Here are my favorite prop bets in this game:

Nets vs. Suns best NBA prop bets today

  • Kyrie Irving UNDER 29.5 Points
  • Ben Simmons UNDER 24.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
  • Brooklyn Nets 1Q Moneyline vs. Phoenix Suns

Kyrie Irving UNDER 29.5 Points

Kyrie Irving’s points prop is way up with Durant out, but he’s failed to clear it in both games he’s played since KD went down.

The Suns have an elite perimeter defender in Mikal Bridges, who will likely match up on Irving on Thursday night.

Kyrie has scored less than 30 points in nine of his last 10 games, and with the Nets failing to score more than 102 points in three straight, I’d roll with the UNDER here.

Ben Simmons UNDER 24.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

Ben Simmons picked up a triple-double against the San Antonio Spurs, but he’s gone UNDER 24.5 points, rebounds and assists in eight of his last 10 games.

I don’t trust Simmons to be aggressive shooting the ball, especially since he only took 10 shots in a game that Irving missed against the Spurs.

Until Simmons scores with more consistency, I love the UNDER on his PRA props.

Brooklyn Nets 1Q Moneyline vs. Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have been dreadful in first quarters in the last 10 games, posting a shocking -23.9 net rating.

The Nets aren’t nearly as explosive without Durant, but they rank third in the NBA this season in first quarter net rating at +10.4.

Paul’s potential return could make this more interesting, but the Suns don’t have a clear-cut offensive star on the roster when Booker is out. Booker is one of the league’s best first quarter scorers, so it makes sense that the Suns have struggled early with him sidelined.

This is a small price to lay with Brooklyn, and it should roll early.
